Best way to stay "anonymous"?

Hello,

this is more or less throwaway account.

What is the best way to access this site in a country where online crime gets strictly punished? What is "the best" email provider? Will a vpn suffice?

I know there isn't the best way and not only one way, so I am interested in your opinions

You should consider signing up for Protonmail with Tor if you want a good throwaway email. For VPNs, if your country has a lot of regulations and censorship then using a VPN itself might get you in trouble.

Vpn itself is no problem. But what provider would you use? I heard a lot of people use (self hosted) proxies

couple tips
- don't re-use emails, passwords ect anything identifying for any hackerman accounts.
- compartmentalize hackerman you and irl you as much as possible physically and mentally (to what degree will depend on threat model and you as a person)
- *****use tor + obs4 (or a similar bridge (the bridge keeps your isp from realizing you're using tor) while you're still figuring things out. eventually look until multilayering proxies with tor usage (check out oil and fish on tor for more info on this). do this now before you start trying to figure out any other shit.
- vpns - do not rely on a vpn as your only method of protection. however, mullvad and ivpn are typically considered the best, research and determine what fits your threat model. do not purchase any VPN with money that can be traced to you (stick with monero or cash). watch your provider closely.
- watch the news. follow "threat intelligence" accounts and ect.
- what services are "safe" will largely depend on what gov's/entities you're worried about. do your own research and do not skimp on this.
- consider your os. at minimum keep qubes/whonix in a vm on whatever os you're comfortable in. if you're using windows/mac os, reconsider.

what about express vpn

currently working on a post about express/kape at the moment, owned by kape technologies (which also owns PIA, cyberghost and zenmate) which rebranded in 2018 due to doing fucked shit (
https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-s...ghost-vpn/). CIO for express is also involved in intelligence (https://www.technadu.com/which-vpns-are-...es/304917/). would advise against using.
