I spent the past few days interviewing "USDoD" in a wide-ranging chat that covered some of his background, a look back at the InfraGard incident in December 2022, his recent Airbus attack, and what else he's been working on and what his endgame his.
To say that USDoD has ambitious goals would be an understatement. But he helpfully provided some screencaps to prove some of what he's been up to -- including gaining access to CEPOL and the NATO Cyber Security Defense Center. It appeared, though, that he might have been detected during the latter operations, because attempts to then login to https://ncirc.nato.int/ produced a terse "maintenance" notice without any explanation or expected return of the site. It is now five days of maintenance notices without any reply from NATO about why that site is "under maintenance."
Why CEPOL and why NATO Cybersecurity Defense, you wonder? And is he still targeting U.S. defense organizations and the U.S. military?
And why did some people think he is pro-Russia? (Spoiler alert: his English communications leaves something to be desired...)
And did Brian Krebs really call him a terrorist or did USDoD just read too much into Krebs' comments?
We get into all of that in the interview and you can read it all at: https://www.databreaches.net/im-not-pro-...campaigns/ while I go look for some chocolate to reward myself....
